A New Look for a Bright Future:
Introducing the Advent Dress Program

Starting in the 2025-2026 school year, we’re expanding "Advent Dress Day" into a full Advent Dress Program. This program introduces a unified dress code—a school uniform—with lots of flexible options designed to promote a sense of pride while allowing students to feel comfortable and confident.

Our new dress program is about more than just clothing—it’s about representing who we are as a school community. As a school in downtown Birmingham, our students are seen throughout the city every day. A unified dress enhances our visibility and reflects the values of learning, character, and belonging that define Advent, making our students recognizable ambassadors of our mission.

Visibility as a Beacon of Excellence

We understand that deciding what to wear each day can be challenging amidst changing trends and personal preferences. The Advent Dress Program aims to simplify this process for students and families, allowing us to focus more on learning and building connections. We value self-expression, and we encourage students to express their unique personalities through their ideas, actions, creativity, and the way they engage with the world around them.

Simplifying Choices & Enhancing Belonging

At Advent, we prepare our students not only for academic success but also for life beyond our school walls. The new dress program sets clear expectations that help build a culture of readiness and respect within our learning environment. It’s about fostering qualities like responsibility, respect, and thoughtful self-presentation—key attributes for future leaders.
