Not only do we offer an extensive array of clubs, sports, and programs to enhance your child’s educational experience and help them hone their unique gifts, but our downtown location provides convenient access to resources and field trips to a larger “classroom” just outside our doors! By intentionally working beyond-the-classroom experiences into our curriculums, we give our students hands-on experience with real-life applications to scholastic concepts.
We believe that a well-rounded education and vibrant academic life rely on cohesion between the school, the faculty, the student, and the parents. With our central downtown campus, we’re conveniently located for parents to join us on school trips, chapel, and lunch, and we’re dedicated to helping involvement in your child’s academic life work for your family, whatever that may look like.

Our Birmingham Engagement
The unique location of our school in the heart of downtown Birmingham is a gift and an opportunity. We seek to take full advantage of the world-class museums, art, music, and culture in Birmingham while also serving as a blessing to our city.
Advent students experience some of the most enriching learning opportunities that our city has to offer with destinations like the BMA, Jones Valley Teaching Farm, and the McWane Center just steps away from our door.
Exposing students to the cultural and educational wonders all around them is a key aspect of a well-rounded education. Our goal is to inspire our graduates with an appreciation of the unique experiences available in their own city as well as a love of exploration and learning that lasts a lifetime.
We strive to take full advantage of all that our city has to offer, from history to science to art. Field trips are an integral part of every grade level’s curriculum, but as our students grow closer to becoming independent young adults, we prioritize providing more opportunities for beyond-the-classroom learning.
